SJD Window Cleaning Services Ltd was established just over a year ago, but Spencer Day has been cleaning windows for 43 years.
The story
Spencer started in window cleaning as a young man and has watched the trade change completely, from buckets, ladders and rope access to pure water pole systems, powered access and formal risk assessment.
That span of experience means very little on a building site surprises him. The company is deliberately hands-on. Spencer quotes the work, plans the access and turns up to do it.
He enjoys being outdoors and talking to the people who use the buildings he cleans, which is why most work comes back round as repeat contracts.
Commercial premises are the main focus, including offices, schools, sports facilities, showrooms and industrial units, with residential work taken on alongside it.
